Misty Griffin, of Jackson, Missouri, is the mother of 3 wonderful boys. She created Little Letter Girl because, though she is a boy mom, she still likes a little bling and pink in her life. She first made wine glasses for her friends for birthdays, graduations, etc. She even presented one to the doctor who delivered her youngest son. It was one of Misty's friends who suggested she make them for others to purchase. Thus Little Letter Girl was born!
Little Letter Girl started with wine glasses but has expanded to ice buckets, pitchers, cheese platters, tin buckets and Christmas ornaments and so much more! Little Letter Girl is a great way to show that special friend how special she is!

Noodle and Boo is a wonderful new line for us!!! When I had my little boy, Teddy, a family friend gave us this lotion and baby wash as a gift. Not only was the packaging from Neiman Marcus a special treat, but these products were my favorite things to use on Teddy throughout his first year. Love the smell, love the feel, and LOVE the routine of using them. When I recently bought this gift for a friend, the sales lady told me that she had adults come back and buy this lotion just for themselves after their baby had grown a little, because they loved it so much. I have noticed....it is not popular to reply anymore. Have you noticed? In my business, I have at least one customer a week comment that no one RSVP's.

Not only does this make it incredibly difficult for people to get an accurate count for their festivity, it causes undue stress to the person organizing the event. Usually there is a very simple, postmarked reply card enclosed in the invitation OR a phone number to call in case of regrets. It's actually pretty simple when you think about it....?
I recently replied to a shower and the host actually thanked me for calling.

So....I challenge you to start replying & see what a difference it can make!

This is a fabulous bag! Coined the "Four Boys Bag", meaning, you can fit EVERYTHING in this bag!!!! When I first had Teddy, we would load up the car and travel to my dad's house in St. Louis. I simply love my album for my son, Teddy...it's perfect on the outside with pale blue linen fabric, chocolate ink for his name and birthdate and then the pages that come with it are thorough from birth to schooldays. Mother's Day is May 9!

Thank God for Mothers. Mother's Day is coming up and now that I know the hard work that goes into motherhood, I'm even more appreciative of my own mother than I was before ( and I was pretty appreciative of her before ) It's a tough and rewarding job, isn't it? I think that we should take this next week to thank ALL of the "mothers" in our lives.......Mine have been: my birth mother, Debbie Ann Johnson Long, who I adore, my sister Sarah (as strange as it may sound, she HAS mothered me at times!!!), my Grammie Marie Abernathy Dugger, my late Grandmother Cleo May Long, my mother in law, Debra Ann Decklever Tracy, my husband's Grandmother, Betty Jean Tracy.....and a few friends along the way. My Japanese mother, Minako-san, definitely "mom'd" me while I lived in Japan. She passed away a few years after we moved, but oh was I so thankful for meeting her and loving her. God places people in our lives who we can at times share this bond with. Thank you so much all of you "mothers" out there.

Maria, and I were friends when cancer put my life into turmoil and me into a wheelchair. Along with my sister, Kristin, they stood by me through my treatment and rejoiced with me when I started walking again. During that time, they too were going through their own life struggles-at some point I guess every mom does.

So there we were, four accomplished yet changed women having deep conversations about the age-old topics of enjoying every moment, knowing what’s important and how to better organize our lives, but this time, with new insights, insights only these new challenges could have taught us.

We focused on what, in essence, truly is the heartbeat of what makes us all moms - whether we are working in an office or at home, it is the simple, silly things that give us the greatest pleasure. When I was incapacitated, it wasn’t my career or the paycheck that I missed. I longed for the simple things in life like packing my kids’ lunches and picking them up from school. When I finally got back on my feet, the four of us simply wanted to find a better way to appreciate the small joys that we get out of each day by making the entire harried part of the day just a little less complicated.

We think we may have done just that. We’ve created a smart and stylish tri-fold planner. Instead of the traditional binder-book planner that has everything from dizzying conversion charts to the medical history of your Aunt Gladis, we simply included what we felt moms truly needed.

Artist Spotlight

There are two reasons for introducing you all to Michaelyn....(most of you all know her well!) She is our store's manager and is also an in house artist:) Michaelyn creates "rock.paper.scissors"- the cutest letters & banners...customers hang them individually in their home or together to spell out a word. My sister has three letters hanging on her mantle right now that spell out "B-O-O" for Halloween. A friend of mine puts "M-E-R-R-Y" on her mantle at Christmastime. Another way to display her letters are in a child's room.....how cute to spell out his/her name? She also decoupages frames & makes "magic wands" for children. Michaelyn takes custom orders and has a selection of patterned paper to choose from. Turn around time is typically one week.

The other reason for this photo of Michaelyn is because she is wearing a "Susan Shaw" pearl necklace. Each piece is made by hand from handcast gold & pearls. They are beautiful worn alone, but are also popular as "layered" pieces. Layering is BIG this fall and these necklaces are perfect for doing so!
